The Sultana Series is meant to provide the world with a new perspective on a culture that may not be well-known.

As in all academia, the Sultana series is a story that is meant to encompass the pursuit of knowledge through exploration of new ideas and cultures as well as religions.

Through this journey, readers should feel a sense of intellectual growth, discovery of a new civilization, and the transmission of ideas across generations.

The Sultana series presents stereotypical ideologies in a new light, providing understanding and purpose to women’s choices to be muslim and their choice to wear a head scarf and why.

This series creates a new narrative surrounding Turkish culture and history. One that reflects an understanding that women are empowered to be who and what they want to be, regardless of the expectations that are placed upon them by their family, society, or their religion.

Although it is a historical fiction set in 13th-century Anatolia, the topics and points of interest are relevant to those of the 21st century as women continue to fight to find their voices, strength, and empowerment in life.

The Sultana Series is meant to tell a tale of love, adventure, tradition, female empowerment, and history while educating the reader about Turkish history and culture. The reader’s heart will be touched by the family dynamic, connections, and loving environment, as well as the challenges and obstacles they will face. The characters are met with a harsh reality, yet they still live in peace, due to their reliance on their faith and trust in their family ties.

Through a descriptive writing style and well-planned character development, the reader experiences Süreyya’s journey alongside her. Making the readers feel as though they are immersed in a timeframe that has been long forgotten and possibly misunderstood.

The Sultana Series is an EPIC journey that is meant to educate, excite, instigate, and motivate the reader to think about Turkish culture in general and appreciate its rich and extraordinary mark in history, as well as its poignancy that is reflected in modern-day culture.

After reading the Sultana series, readers should gain a deeper understanding of Turkish culture and develop a sparked interest in continued learning. They will have a different perspective on 13th-century Anatolia and the plight of its inhabitants during that period.

They will become familiar with Mevlana Rumi and how his teachings and beliefs not only affected the people of that time but continue to enlighten the world to this day.

Females will be motivated to be their true selves. Through Süreyya’s example, they may embrace their natural talents and instincts and learn to follow their heart because a new female heroine will be celebrated.

Males may have a different understanding of the female potential and their roles in assisting women to find their voices and make our world a place where everyone supports each other as we strive to be our best while finding our purpose in life.
